Sunny Day

We are doing great...have finally gotten some rest, feel like Garrett's feeling more secure, and the adjustment is getting easier.  Lilah seems to be doing very well.  She is very alert and active and has given her fan club many smiles in the last few days.  The echo we had before we left the hospital showed "normal" left ventricular function, which is amazing!  Her doctors say now it's just a 'wait and see' game to see how the atrial and ventricular defects affect her and if her left ventricle will maintain function with her medications.  We feel like she is doing amazingly well.  Also, they have strongly cautioned  us against any germs (obviously), so we are pretty much quarantined:)
On a side note, Redeemer Church made this sweet announcement about collecting money for us. While we totally appreciate the spirit and generosity, it's not necessary.  What we do need more than anything is your continued commitment to pray for Lilah.

Dear Gina, Paul, Garrett, Lilah, and the Fan Club extraordinaire!

You all are doing a fantastic job of living within God's love and making good choices and keeping your spirits bright. It is our nature to heal and be strong in the face of challenges and the littlest among us have the greatest capacity for this (Go, Lilah!).

We do hold you in our prayers and stand ready to do anything you might ask. Thank you for being the excellent family you are. We love you!

We are so glad that things are going well at home. Garrett truly is the best big brother for Lilah as you and Paul are the best parents. We love you and pray that God continues to shower His grace upon you as you adjust to this new way of living.

"Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on earth below. There is no other. Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time." Deuteronomy 4:39-40

The way you fall have handled this by keeping God's commands forefront will "go well with you and your children." I can't stop thinking of just how blessed Garrett and Lilah are to have you as their Mom and Dad. Love you both-

Paul and Gina,

I passed you yesterday in Forest Brook -- you were on the golf cart!! I was so happy to see you getting out. We are praying for your little Lilah. Watch out Garrett -- little sis' is turning out to be a real fighter. What an amazing testimony you have to give!

My mom, Emily, and Kristi have been keeping me up to date with everything. It is so awesome to read your posts. Those scriptures that you have noted on the blog have been so inspirational to me as well.

I am praying for the whole family!

Live the faith, stay positive, and trust in Him!
