things have changed drastically around here...my mom left yesterday:( i'm sure you've all heard me say this a million times, but she really is a saint. she has been here since the day we found out lilah was sick and my sweet dad has come every weekend. they are the most incredibly selfless people i know and they have taught me how to love my children well. and, just as important...my children love them! they have more energy than i do, and do all kinds of fun things with garrett (zoo, greekfest, countless walks, fall festivals, etc). garrett is just as depressed as i am...he keeps saying "where granna go?" and then answering his own question with "granna in indiana with papa". it's really sweet!

I have no idea if I'm leaving a comment in the right place or not, so I hope you get this. Anyway, my name is Brad Lee, and I work with Paul at Medtronic. I just learned of what all y'all have been dealing with, and I just wanted to send well wishes and assure you and Paul that your baby is in my prayers. It appears that things are looking a lot brighter now than they were at one time. I'm so glad to hear that. I have a daughter myself so it always saddens to me when I hear of parents having to experience the illness of a child. In all honesty though, when I heard of this, I was especially affected. Your husband happens to be one of my favorite people and a guy I have a ton of respect for. For that reason, I feel horrible for not having contacted y'all earlier. Due to some apparent email issues though, I didn't receive the email that went out when this first started. Please know and tell Paul that y'all will continue to be in my prayers. I know things have been crazy and probably still are, but please ask Paul to give me a call when he has sometime. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Great pic of Harry & Diane! Sorry to hear about your mom leaving...I'm sure she is just as depressed! I guess you'll just have to move to Indiana...................! Ha! We will be in Gatlinburg this weekend! Are you guys going to be around?
This is a great picture! Know you are missing them....Lilah and Garrett are very blessed to have them as grandparents!!
So sad they are gone, we miss them too. Even if they weren't here to see us ;)
I am thankful to see your parents interact so amazingly with your family, it is an aspiration for sure.
